Newton Thophile Savoie is a Louisiana native. Newton attended Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and later obtained his Masters’ Degree in Accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he graduated with honors.After graduating from Southern University, Newton obtained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and practiced as a CPA.
Newton Savoie later decided to expand his educational training and obtained his law degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, where he graduated Cum Laude. After graduating from law school, Newton went on to pursue his master’s degree in Tax Law from the University of Florida.
Newton later worked as an associate with Julien and Julien Law Firm and as a public defender with St. John the Baptist Parish Public Defenders Board for several years.
In 1998, Newton Savoie co-founded the Savoie and Savoie Law Firm, LLC. During his years of practice, Newton Savoie served as a Special Master in Orleans Parish on various tax and business-related cases. Newton also works as an Assistance District Attorney for the 40th Judicial District of St. John the Baptist Parish for District Attorney Bridget A. Dinvaut.
Newton Savoie practices in the areas of Personal Injury, Business Law, Tax Law, and Estate Planning.
Newton holds memberships in several organizations, including the Louisiana State Bar Association; United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts; United States Tax Court; American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Jacqueline Savoie was born in Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign, Illinois, where she graduated with a BA in Political Science.
For several years following college, Jacqueline worked in both the insurance and banking industries in various capacities. Jacqueline later pursued her law degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she obtained her law degree. While in law school, Jacqueline was an editor of the Law Review. Following law school, Jacqueline worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
In 1998, Jacqueline Savoie became one of the founding partners of Savoie and Savoie Law Firm, LLC. Her primary areas of practice include personal injury and estate planning.
